Our Approach

Strengthening Communities

At Garden Fare, we maintain an appreciation of food as sustenance, not only for our bodies, but also for our relationships with each other and with the earth. Through cooperation with local organizations, Garden Fare channels the surplus fruit and vegetables grown in your gardens to low-income members of your community and to those otherwise in need. We also work to train underemployed local people in gardening and small-scale farming skills so as to help to give them the experience they need in order to find employment and “green jobs” in the growing organic agriculture sector of the “green collar economy.”
