At home edible gardens: Be as hands-on or hands-off as you please: Whether you are looking for an expert gardener to help you plan and trouble shoot your garden space, or someone to do it all, from planning to harvesting, we’re here to help produce local, nutritious food for our clients by building and protecting soil on site, planting and pruning for greater yields, and generally caring for the garden as an ecosystem.
Either starting from dirt or re-claiming an overgrown forest, we work with the natural ecosystems of your plot to produce a dynamic, productive garden you’ll love be in and love to eat!
Garden Fare Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Project: We have added a small farm to our growing plots for 2008. We are growing many different seasonal vegetables specifically for CSA shareholders. Community Supported Agriculture arrangements are popular through out the USA. It is a direct relationship between the consumer and the farmer. The consumer purchases a “share” in the farmers harvest at the beginning of the growing season, and in turn the farmer grows a season’s worth of vegetables for the consumer. The benefits of this type of relationship include fresher, healthier, safe food for the consumer, preservation of agricultural lands in one’s community, the opportunity to know and support the person who grows your food for you.

ABOUT US:
Mali Dyck, upon meeting Patrick, became a passionate amateur gardener in 2004. Together, they built a beautiful food garden at their home in Penn Valley and started to feed themselves (and their neighbors) fresh produce. This experience inspired them to start Garden Fare and help others do the same.
